Straight jackets are on your left, meds are on the table and if you hurry, you can still get a seat in group therapy!

Have you ever wanted to throw pie in your bosses face?

Ok...so Fred signed up for the "Pie" in the Manager's face charity fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society‏ at his job. Ok....so its not really "Pie". Each employee that gets 3 soaked sponges smeared with chocolate pudding! Ha Ha Ha....better the hubs than me!

Here's what the flyer says:

A fund raiser of never before seen outrageousness
for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Friday, September 4th from 11:30 to 1:30 and 4:30 to 5:30

Have you ever wanted to smear pudding in your boss’ face?
Do you know what it is like to be able to throw sticky wet objects at your Manager without getting into trouble?
Do you have a decent throwing arm? How is your aim?
Need some exercise and tension relief from your job?

Well then, come join us during your lunch period on Friday, September 4th and for the small and nearly negligible price of $5, we will give you a hot dog and drink for lunch, 3 soaking wet sponges smeared with Chocolate Pudding, and the show of a life time.

You eat the hot dog, down the drink , and throw the wet slimy sponges at the face of the Manager of your choice and then you get to step back and, for the remainder of your lunch period, watch your co-workers throw soggy slimy sponges at the managers. Think of it. All this for just $5. Why we should be charging twice that for all this exercise and good fun. But No! Just $5 and, after expenses, all of that will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society charity.

Want to know the CRAZY part??? The managers want you to throw at them!!! They want to raise as much money as they can for the Leukemia Society.

Just picture it…you step out from behind the crowd…carefully apply the pudding to your selected heavy wet throwing sponge…the sun is out and there is a clear view of your pompous target down range…that face looking back at you, defying you to hit him…you take a deep breath….wind up…and let it fly…SPLAT! And the Crowd Goes WILD!!!...a direct hit on your boss, right square in the face with a slimy disgusting blob of sticky goo…turn around and raise your hands in victory and accept the applause and gratitude of the cheering crowd gone wild…and the best part??? You still have two more to throw.

So come one, come all to this great event. Come for the food. Come for the fun. Come to support the fight to THROW OUT LEUKEMIA!!
Tickets $5 each sold only in advance. See your Supervisor.

It's a good cause and I am so proud of him for doing this. I think he will have just as much fun as his employees will.

Let the throwing begin!!!

Some of my own exciting news!!!

Do you all remember that post I did when my boss asked me if I was pregnant? Yes ... this one. As you all know, my answer was no. That's right I was was not pregnant, although Fred and I were talking about it and well, you know .... working on it.

Well, now I can officially say that if my boss was to yell across the office and ask me if I was pregnant, My answer would be ..... YES!! That's right everyone, I am pregnant and so happy. I guess all that "working" paid off ;-)

I have a Dr.'S appt. On Monday so I will fill you in later on the details. Until then, it will be heartburn city (I had heartburn 24 / 7 when I was pregnant with Alexi and from the start of this pregnancy, it looks like it's going to be no different).

Everyone have a wonderful evening!!!

So I was going through some old photos of my parents for a project that I am working on (I will tell you all about that later) and I came across some neat pictures from back in the day. This one really caught my attention and I thought I would share it with you all? I wonder what was so funny ..... was there something exciting going on .... or were they just playing around? Hmmm? One of these days I will ask them.

Here's a dart for you!

I bet you were waiting for this one. Well here it is!

You want to be upset, that's fine. Your entitled. But you are taking this way too far! I don't understand all the lashing out and lying you are doing. I don't understand why you are so quick to write off those that love you. Yes, things did not go how you planned, but we have made it very clear it was never intentionally done to hurt you. Remember....this was your choice.

I don't appreciate you saying hurtful things about us. I expect more from you. I'm sticking to everything I said on the phone.

So you want to throw darts...well then here's mine!!!

-> -> ->I Love You!!
When your ready to talk, call me.

My Cousins Graduation

So on the weekend of the 15th we headed up to PA for my cousins graduation from Penn State University. Congratulations Matt!!
My grandmother flew in from Myrtle Beach so it was nice that we all got to spend time together. Its not very often we all get together so when we do, my grandmother likes to get a group picture of her and her grand / great grand babies .

Wow .... I can't believe how the time has flown by. We are all adults and starting our own families now. Amazing!! We love you grandmom!!

And we're off!!!

That's right....we are heading north bound to Pennsylvania, or as someone at my old job called it when I first move to Virginia, "Pennsyltucky". I never did understand that saying, but in the almost 8yrs of living in Virginia, I have heard it many times. Who knows, maybe the joke is on me.

Anyway, we are heading up just past the Philly area for my cousins college graduation from Penn State. How exciting! He is the first to finish college out of us cousins (I've attempted twice and didn't complete. I really need to go back to school and finish my degree. Ugh!). Oh well....so we get to go and enjoy family and.........hmmmmmm??????, that's right, some real cheese steaks! Oh yeah!! We look forward to them every time we go up there. There is no greater sandwich! OK, let me re-phrase that, there is no greater sandwich for your taste buds....not so great on the thighs!

OK, time to stop. This is supposed to be a tribute post to my cousin, not cheese steaks. Moving on....I am so excited to see everyone and can't wait for Alexi to play with her cousins. I will be back late Sunday so I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will see you all next week.

Some Exciting News…..

So I just found out that my high school best friend is pregnant with her second child. I am so excited for her and her husband. Cathy and I go all the way back to Junior High School. We were in each others weddings, we've had all the ups and downs....I know, you get it. Well she and her husband are high school sweethearts and they already have a little boy, baby Bobby. Anyway, Cathy and Bobby came up with the cutest way to inform her parents (whom I have called mom and dad ever since I’ve known them) on the pregnancy….I hope you all enjoy!!

Wasn't that the cutest! I am so happy for them and can't wait to meet my new niece/nephew! (secretly I am rooting for a girl ;-)

I love you guys!!!

Monday, Monday, Monday

As I sit here I wonder….Why Monday? Why can’t it be a weekend all summer long? Wouldn’t that be awesome?! Think about it: we could work longer hours during the other 3 seasons to compensate for the summer, this would include stocking up on all the necessities we would need for the summer b/c even stores would be closed. We could be paid like some teachers are where we would be given a paycheck all 12 months of the year.

I know…..I’m living in a fantasy world and this would never happen, but wouldn’t it be nice?

The Green Monster Movement

So this morning I started something new. Thanks to Michelle over at Stuttering Shell, I have learned of a new type of smoothie. I realize the name might scare you off a little, but trust me, they are really good. Good tasting and good for you. Angela at greenmonstermovement had one goal….to come up with a green and healthy smoothie. Well everyone, she did….and not just one, but many different flavors. Check her website out. I had the blueberry banana green monster this morning; only I substituted the blueberries with strawberries.

Wow, was I surprised! It was really good! The hubby even liked it, and he won’t go anywhere near spinach normally.

Now let me just give you a little tid-bit of information. There is a reason why it’s called the green monster movement. It is green, it looks a little scary and……..let’s just say it sure does move a few things. Keep in mind; this is a healthy shake with potentially a lot of fiber.
I think that I will be having one of these every morning for breakfast.

So much to do, so little time

First of all I need to say that I just cannot believe that it is August already. Seriously?!?! Where has the time gone? Well the month of August is going to be no different. My in-laws coming in town on Wed. and staying until Sat. My sister-in-law and family is coming at the end of the week and staying through the weekend. My aunt, uncle and mothers birthdays are this week...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL AUGUST BIRTHDAYS!! Next weekend I will be going to PA for my nephews college graduation. He's graduating from Penn State....CONGRATULATIONS MATT!!! The following weekend I am trying to not plan anything (a girls gotta relax sometime). The hubs and our friend Enzo is heading off to Texas for a long weekend. The weekend after that, which is the last weekend in August I am planning a certain little surprise that I can't talk about right now. That little surprise will be taking me back to PA. And yes...I live in Virginia. I am trying o make flight arrangements so that I don't have to drive both trip. And finally, we will be camping in Hatteras, NC for Labor Day weekend. I am so excited b/c we have talked some our close friends into joining us (we're working on a couple more....Liz *wink* *wink* ) Whew!! I'm tired just typing all these events...I wonder how tired I will be living them out!?!? Oh, and amongst all that, I will be filling my weeks with work, family and housework.

Oh the Fruits of my labor.....or should I say Vegetables?

I can finally say that we are reaping the benefits of my vegetable garden. The cherry tomatoes are growing like weeds and I have 4 large tomatoes that will be ready for picking in about 3 more days. I am so excited. We have been waiting since the end of May for our veggies to start.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to enjoy any cucumbers yet (they are taking a little time, I started off with seeds) and I have a feeling that our green and red bell pepper plants just aren't going to make it this year.
